Problem Definition
The problem identified in this project is the lack of nutrition information and specifications about food regarding current available food delivery platforms in Canada.
This is a problem because it leads health-conscious people to have difficulty finding suitable options beyond daily cooking or meal kits, resulting in them getting frustrated of not meeting their dietary needs when ordering food.
Solution
A mobile application for ordering food from restaurants in Canada that makes it possible for health-conscious people to vary from daily cooking or meal kits while meeting dietary preferences and restrictions, and consequently keeping health goals on track. Besides all basic food delivery app features, It will allow users to apply various filters when searching for suitable options, such as “calories range”, “maximum macronutrients amount per meal” and “intolerances”. It will also provide users access to nutrition facts about each meal.
Target Users
End-consumers
People living in Canada, with medium-high income, who seek healthier habits and are concerned about diet nutrition. Initially the focus will be people from Toronto.
They share one or more of these interests: different special dietary, flexible eating (healthy lifestyle approach based on macronutrients counting), practice of physical exercises with specific goals (such as
losing weight or gaining muscles), search for healthier habits, use of calories/macronutrients tracking apps (MyFitnessPal for example) . All of them are conscious about what to eat and might have special diets, restrictions, intolerances or preferences.
Restaurant Partners
As a third part app, the second user group of the project includes restaurant partners, which will offer the food the end-consumers can order. There is a long-term goal to build partnerships with a large
number of restaurants, but in the first moment the focus will be restaurants from these neighborhoods: Downtown Toronto, Yonge&Bloor, Yorkville, Entertainment District, Beaches, Annex, Bloorcourt, Little Italy, Danforth, Financial District, Junction, Queen West, Church Wellesley Village, Cityplace and Dundas West. The categories included are vegetarian/vegan, Asian, Italian, Mexican, Middle-eastern and Indian will be available, as are the most popular in Canada. The focus will be on restaurants from these categories that have nutrition facts of all meals offered, as well as macronutrients amount, or at least have interest in collecting this information.

Voice & Tone
App
The voice and tone that will be used in the mobile app will be direct, informative, involving simple language that matches to the real world, making it easy for the user to understand what they are able to do while using Suiteats and which are the next actions to take.

Communications
The voice and tone applied to all the communication conducted by the brand, including social media channels, advertising, events and any other promotional strategy will be entertaining, yet informative, which means informal, relaxed and lightweight, but still educative to share information from related fields.
User Theme
After having some assumptions and conducting research over the target user, in the forms of a survey and informal talks, some ideas were developed for the senior project. It took some time to develop a single theme that best expressed the value of the desired user experience to provide to the target.
After some considerations, analysis and changes, the theme that best describes the mobile application is “Make suitable choices when ordering food. Stay healthy, stay
balanced, stay happy, stay toward goals.”
This theme was defined to remember during all phases of the project that Suiteats will ensure people who are conscious about what they eat that they are making the most suitable choices for them while ordering food. This way, it will consequently satisfy them as they set their preferences and go towards their different goal.
